xF Technologies Inc., an Albuquerque, NM based company, has developed a patented technology to produce low cost advanced biofuels that can be blended into diesel, heating oil and gasoline.

The company’s 408 family of products are furoate esters are energy dense, non-toxic and compatible with current industry infrastructure. Additionally, they are designed to fit within the EPA’s Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS-2) to be eligible for RIN generation.

Furoate Esters are produced by converting traditional or cellulosic biomass into a chemical intermediate that is subsequently combined with an alcohol such as ethanol, potentially expanding ethanol’s reach beyond the current ‘blend wall’.
